USGBC-Long Island’s Emerging Professionals Committee members are the energetic and dynamic leaders of tomorrow’s green building movement. They are under the age of 35 and new to the industry.  Our mission is to come up with new ideas to advocate, educate, and evolve as professionals in the industry.

Daniel Busi
Mr. Busi is an environmental professional with special expertise in the sustainable design and construction of high-performance buildings.  Daniel is the managing director of the U.S. Green Building Council-Long Island Chapter (USGBC-LI) and chair of the organization’s Emerging Professionals Committee.  He serves as the account manager for the Long Island Steel Trade Association and the Drive Electric Long Island Coalition, and he represents the Suffolk County Village Officials Association on the Suffolk County Community Choice Aggregation Task Force.
